CHAOS Crowd

By using CHAOS crowd, you are agreeing on behalf of yourself to comply in and be legally bound by these Terms of Use (from now on “Terms”) as well as our privacy policy and all applicable laws.By agreeing with CHAOS crowd’ Terms, you give CHAOS permission to contact you by email regarding the CHAOS crowd product updates.

CHAOS, as CHAOS crowd product provider, reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace the Terms at any time. If the alterations constitute a material change to the Terms, CHAOS will notify you by posting an announcement/ or contacting you by email. What constitutes a material change will be determined at CHAOS’ sole discretion. You are responsible for reviewing and becoming familiar with any such modifications. Using CHAOS crowd or viewing its visual content constitutes your acceptance of the Terms as modified. The “Effective Date” above will be revised every time the Terms are updated.

CHAOS does not take any responsibility for any application performance, nor provides any warranty for it. CHAOS does its best to keep the information in the application as reliable as possible, if you think you have found an error, please contact us at support(at)chaosarchitects.com.

CHAOS shall in no event be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages, or other damages of any kind, arising out of or in any way connected with the use of the application or the information or materials contained in, or accessed through, CHAOS applications. All content generated using CHAOS crowd is property of CHAOS.CHAOS does not assume responsibility or policy rights that are related to the content posted through CHAOS crowd.

As a condition of use, you promise not to use the application for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms, or any other purpose not reasonably intended by CHAOS crowd. By way of example, and not as a limitation, you agree not to use the application:

To abuse, harass, threaten, impersonate or intimidate any person;

To post or transmit, or cause to be posted or transmitted, any content that is libellous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive, offensive, profane, or that infringes any copyright or other right of any person;

To communicate with other users in an abusive or offensive manner;

For any purpose (including posting or viewing content) that is not permitted under the laws of the jurisdiction where you use the application;

To post or transmit, or cause to be posted or transmitted, any communication designed or intended to obtain password, account, or private information from any CHAOS crowd user; and

To advertise to, or solicit, any user to buy or sell any third party products or services, or to use any information obtained from the application in order to contact, advertise to, solicit, or sell to any user without their prior explicit consent.

CHAOS crowd, product of CHAOS, collects, stores, and uses your personal information as a data controller in connection with and in order to provide and develop CHAOS products, mobile applications, services and websites (together “Services”) according to this Privacy Policy.

5.1. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

Through the use of CHAOS crowd, you will directly provide or submit information to CHAOS (“Customer Data”). Customer Data includes, for example:

When you register in CHAOS crowd, you are asked to sign in using your Facebook login or via email. Through Facebook you authorize us to access certain Facebook account information, such as your public Facebook profile: your full name, email address, profile picture. If you use an email based log in you authorize us to collect your email address and name.

Demographic information;

Username and password;

Work title;

All content that you create, share or post in text, images, and other media or software files that you provide on or through CHAOS crowd, or that are provided on your behalf, including information in or about the content you provide, such as the location of a photo or the date a file was created;

All communications with other users of CHAOS crowd;

Billing information; and

Information you provide us when you contact or engage us for support regarding CHAOS crowd. In this case, we will receive your email address and information you send to us to help resolve your query. We will keep records of our communication with you.

Disclosure and Transfer of Personal Data. CHAOS does not disclose your personal data to third parties.

INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY

While using the mobile application, CHAOS crowd automatically records a certain set of information. This information may include your IP address, device ID and type, device model, browser type, the operating system used by your device, and your mobile device’s geographic location, while the CHAOS crowd application is actively running.

GEOLOCATION INFORMATION

CHAOS crowd works with geolocation technology that allows us to deduce the location from which you are posting your city ideas, regardless of the part of the world you are in. The geolocation data is collected only after getting consent from its users and it is not shared with third parties. Location data does not collect or share any personally identifiable information about yourself.

5.2. USE OF INFORMATION

All information that we gather and analyse is based on the data that is non-personally identifiable, which means that it is information that by itself cannot be used to identify or contact you. We may use information that we collect about you to:

make coherent urban analyses based on demographic data (such as your gender, age, profession, education and means of transportation), as well as your location during the city activity; and

conduct analytics about how you interact with CHAOS crowd for the future improvements of the services.

WITH WHOM WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

Your individual data and information are not used and cannot be seen for any other purposes than gathering statistical information and building demographic makeup.

CHAOS does not make targeted advertisements of any kind.

We encourage you not to disclose any private information to the CHAOS crowd application, such as addresses, credit card details, national identity numbers, drivers’ licence details and other sensitive information on your profile which may be misused or abused.

CHAOS crowd may also deliver push-up notifications to your mobile device. You can disable these notifications by changing the settings on your mobile device.

You may always disable location tracking from your device, but that may result in you being unable to use certain features.

You have a right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. Such a request must be done in writing.

You may review and update your personal information you have provided or permanently delete your account at any time by accessing the setting and deleting your account. If you delete your account, we take responsibility to overwrite your user details with empty data by changing your user information to “Anonymous user” status. We may retain certain information associated with your account anonymously for analytical purposes.

The CHAOS crowd service is provided globally. Backup copies of this data is stored in Finland. Your residence country’s laws and regulations concerning data protection might differ from the server’s location country’s laws (Finland) and regulations and your personal data might not enjoy the same protection as provided in your country of residence.

To ensure the security of your information, we have taken certain measures. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Nevertheless, no system can be completely secure and we cannot guarantee that hacking, data loss, or other breaches will never occur. Therefore, users should also take care with how they handle and disclose their personal information and keep it safe.

CHAOS crowd does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register to use our application without parental supervision. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will promptly delete that information. A parental or a legal guardian consent is required for any persons under age 16 using our application.

9.1. FAMILIES POLICIES 

CHAOS crowd app does not display any ads;

CHAOS crowd app does not include any AR (Augmented Reality) technologies.

By agreeing with CHAOS crowd’ Terms, you give CHAOS permission to add you to a mailing list and contact you by email regarding CHAOS crowd product updates. You may unsubscribe yourself from such list at any time.

CHAOS may terminate or suspend your CHAOS crowd account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination of your account, your right to use the application will immediately cease. We take responsibility to overwrite your user details with empty data by changing your user information to “Anonymous user” status. We may retain certain information associated with your account anonymously for analytical purposes.
