CHAOS together with City of Helsinki and YIT to start Maria Development Project till 2023

In the heart of Helsinki, the role of Maria 01 is to become the biggest, most influential, and progressive hub in the Nordics. During the development project, CHAOS’ extensive insights and expertise in engagement and participation will be the basis for community building and bottom-up approach in this development. Our service will collect, manage, and analyse data on human intelligence: demographics, urban creative ideas, and how people relate to urban forms.

By having developed an advanced  customer interface with a lean and interactive design that accumulates and visualises data, the project will be supported by data-driven insights for sustainable decision-making. The adoption of CHAOS’ technology will innovate current architectural and participatory practices, and contribute to time efficiency by replacing manual reporting.

Engaged Urban Planning:
CHAOS architects will involve community and different stakeholders in the design project. Through the mobile application, different stakeholders and partners can virtually and in real time create ideas for the Maria area”, according to YIT report. (See original: “CHAOS architects osallistaa kaupunkilaiset ja eri sidosryhmät mukaan suunnitteluprojektiin. Sovelluksen välityksellä eri sidosryhmät pääsevät virtuaalisesti ja reaaliajassa ideoimaan Marian aluetta”)‍.

The development of Maria’s area is a very important project in Helsinki. It does not only seek to serve the more than 100 startups already in it, but also builds the city’s startup ecosystem as a driver for economic development,” says Natalia Rincón, CEO of CHAOS.

CHAOS will join forces with the strong consortium of innovators and partners, including: Industryhack, SLUSH, AOR, Arkworks Arkkitehdit, Keva, YIT, Colliers, Amerikka, +1 Agency, Uusi Kaupunki kollektiivi, Sitowise, Accenture, Vainu, Smartly.io, MAAS Global, ICEC, BLOOM, Vapaus, Heltti, Fat Lizard, Nokia, Siemens, KONE; special contributors: Petri Vilén, and Inka Mero.
